Title: Line cook ( NOC: 6242 )

Terms of Employment:
Permanent, Part Time, Full Time, Shift, Overtime, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening

Salary: $12.00 Hourly, for 40.00 Hours per week

Anticipated Start Date (at the latest in 3 months): As soon as possible

Location: #100-801 Marine Drive, North Vancouver, BC ( 6 vacancies )

Education:  Not required

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):  Not required

Experience:  Several years of experience is required

Languages:  Speak English

Specific Skills:
As a Line Cook you will be required to learn the Red Robin style of food preparation, which includes cutting, sautéing, broiling, frying and cooking various meals such as meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, salads and other ingredients. A line cook must be fluent in all styles of food preparation.Prepare and cook full course meals, Prepare and cook individual dishes and foods, Ensure quality of food and determine size of food proportions, Work with minimal supervision, Inspect kitchens and food service areas, Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, Work with specialized cooking equipment (deep fryer, etc.)

Job duties
• Accurately produce food within company standard production times.
• Produce food to RRC Picture Perfect Plate Standards
• Adhere to company safety and sanitation standards
• Intimate knowledge of company recipes and safety procedures
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• 100% accuracy on portioning and recipe preparation
• Ability to be crossed trained and perform tasks in other areas of the kitchen ie; prep, dish area.
• Ability to cook using specialized kitchen equipment, including deep fryers, char broilers, etc.
• Ability to clean and care for specialized kitchen equipment
