Job Summary:
Our company is looking for a Gas Bar Cashier for our Petro Canada located in Blue River, BC.  You will be required to operate the necessary equipment in order to record and accept payments for the purchase of goods and services at the gas bar.  For this position, you must be willing to work in the town of Blue River.  A set allowance will be given for relocation costs after a 3 month probationary period and basic benefits are available for the right deserving candidate.  We are an equal opportunity employer that is committed to achieving employment equity.  Part-time applicants are also encouraged to apply. 

Job Duties:
• Provide efficient and effective customer service
• Maintain a friendly work environment by greeting customers
• Utilize a cash register and Interac machine
• Scan items, tabulate totals, and bag merchandise for customers
• Process transactions through cash, credit and debit payments
• Handle cash and return correct change
• Perform regular janitorial tasks to maintain gas station cleanliness
• Keep the check-out area presentable and provide information to customers as needed
• Periodically rotate and stock merchandise on gas station shelves
• Ability to run lottery terminal
• Capable of selling cigarettes, groceries, and snack foods
• Verify age of customers when selling lottery tickets or tobacco products
• Submit and forecast orders of items that are out of stock
• Calculate total shift payments received and reconcile with total sales
• Engage in suggestive selling of products
