Biogate is experiencing business success and exciting growth. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join our Protein Expression Team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design strategies to establish various protein expression systems (E.coli, insect or mammalian)
• Develop a process for large-scale recombinant protein production using a variety of host
• Develop a process for high-quality recombinant protein purification and characterization
• Plan and conduct experiments; analyze, interpret and present experimental data
• Troubleshoot, optimize experiments, and adapt current product lines
• Functional  analysis and quality control test of recombinant proteins
• Prepare and keep detailed records of experiments and product development, write SOPs, and prepare experimental summaries
• Communicate and report issues and solutions to managers

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc or MSc in a field of molecular biology, biochemistry, chemistry or related sciences
• Excellent academic record and strong scientific fundamentals
• Knowledge and skills in protein expression, refolding, purification, fermentation, bio-reactor growth and other recombinant protein expression techniques
• Experience with protein purification using affinity chromatography, gel filtration  and ion-exchange chromatography
• Skills with in vitro assays, including but not limited to, ELISA , SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, PCR, Cloning
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong documentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently in a collaborative team-oriented setting
• Computer proficiency
