Job Description

Structural Ironworkers:

Bantrel Constructors Co. is looking for skilled structural ironworkers to join our team.  The journeyman base rate is currently $37.61 an hour, net of benefits. 

The construction site is located in Kitimat, British Columbia on Rio Tinto Alcan’s Aluminum Smelter Kitimat Modernization Project. 

Pursuant to the collective agreement the shift is 20 ten-hour days followed by 8 days of rest, camp and rotational flights across Canada and into the United States are provided. 

The collective agreement prescribes 95 hours pay for 70 hours per week worked.  This is not to be construed as a guarantee of hours of work or hours of pay.

Those hired would be dispatched through the Ironworkers Union Local 97. 

Applicants must be capable of performing all the tasks of the structural Ironworker trade including walking, climbing, working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting overhead, twisting, turning, and working outside in various climates.
