WorkBC features labour market information carefully selected and organized for easy access by all British Columbians. People planning careers, job seekers, employers, service providers and researchers will all find information to help them navigate B.C.’s labour market.
The pages of WorkBC help career explorers and job seekers to find learning opportunities, enter the workforce and progress in their careers. Employers will find resources to help them develop a business, create a vibrant work environment, and find and retain workers.
Service providers can access tools and resources to help their clients and to develop professionally. The portal also enhances the ability of researchers and policy analysts to find the information they need for their day-to-day work.
The WorkBC portal was created by the B.C. Ministry of Advanced Education and Labour Market Development , in partnership with BC Stats (Ministry of Citizens’ Services) and the Ministry of Housing and Social Development. Funding for the creation and development of WorkBC has been provided by the BC/Canada Labour Market Agreement (LMA).
Many people have contributed time, expertise and ideas to WorkBC. We wish to thank all the ministries, agencies and other bodies who played a role in the development of the portal.
