Do you wonder how you’ll pay for your education? What type of job you will get when you finish your program? And what prerequisites you need for admission? Use the resources in this section to find answers to these questions and more.
Online Planning Resources
A useful resource for planning your education is the B.C. government’s prospective students guide. It lists a series of questions to ask on topics such as how to prepare, admissions and student loans.
You can also look at the Being an Informed Student page from the B.C. Ministry of Advanced Education. It provides resources on selecting a program of study, choosing the right institution as well as other links for students.
Still feeling uncertain about your future? A great way to explore potential fields of study is to learn from the experiences of others. Check out Perspectives for video interviews with post-secondary students and graduates, as well as other great resources.
Online Education Planners
Already decided on your program? Use Education Planner to choose an institution and find out what is required for admission. It provides up-to-date information on undergraduate program availability, application dates, tuition costs, program requirements, program lengths and more.
Learn How to Get Your Previous Credits and Qualifications Recognized
Don’t have all the prerequisites for admission? Check Adult Basic Education (ABE) and Adult Graduation programs. Use them to help you obtain a high school diploma and the courses needed to complete your post-secondary program.
Wondering how you can get prior learning recognized for a program you started previously? Have a look at Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) in the B.C. Public Post-secondary System.
