Once you’ve been placed on EI, you can access a number of services to support you in your search for employment.
- The B.C. government’s Skills Development employment program provides financial assistance to eligible individuals for the skills training they need to re-enter the workforce.
- Unemployed long tenured workers may also be eligible for federal Career Transition Assistance initiatives. This assistance help laid-off workers to renew or upgrade their skills while on EI.
