B.C. has a plan to advance economic and social prosperity for communities and families across the province. The plan is called Skills for Growth: British Columbia's Labour Market Strategy to 2020.

It sets out an ambitious vision. The goal: by 2020, a highly skilled and globally competitive B.C. workforce will promote innovation and economic growth across the province.

The Skills for Growth plan involves efforts to:

  • increase the skill level and success of people currently in B.C.,
  • attract and retain top talent from across Canada and around the world, and
  • improve productivity in the workplace.

The Skills for Growth strategy is the start of our work to make sure B.C. has the right skills for the 21st century. The plan will guide B.C. in building strong, prosperous communities.
