What is happening with the WorkBC.ca Job Board?

WorkBC.ca is changing to serve you better. The Government of B.C. is partnering with Employment and Social Development Canada to co-deliver job board services. These improvements will enhance how B.C. employers post jobs and connect with job seekers.
 
Effective February 9, 2022, employers will use the National Job Bank system to post jobs. Job seekers will continue to access B.C. job postings on WorkBC’s job board. 

Updates to your job seeker experience:

  • Improved search options and new skills filtering to provide better job matching results.
  • Job postings will now be available in English and French.
What is the National Job Bank?

The National Job Bank lists employment opportunities across Canada as well as labour market information. The National Job Bank website is free and provides job postings in both English and French. It also offers:

  • Job searching tools for job seekers. 
  • Services to help employers find suitable workers.

May I continue to search and apply for jobs using WorkBC’s job board?

Yes. WorkBC.ca will continue to be the primary source for job seekers to find jobs in B.C. Registered job seekers will have an improved interface to manage their job seeker account, including recommended jobs based on their profile and previous search behaviours.
