Job Description

The Office Manager is responsible for maintaining all aspects of KRC’s office procedures. Primary obligations include; day-to-day operational activities, sales, client management, leadership, community marketing, and active contribution to field work (river guide/driver).

-Prioritize office duties and promote efficient workflow by effectively delegating tasks

-Control correspondence. Promptly respond to emails, phone, and walk-in inquiries

-Monitor bookings and implement yield management when reserving tours & rentals

-Manage Pre-Trip Activities; trip reports, administer waivers, and process payments

-Manage Rental Program; bookings, clients, waivers, checklists, and inventory equipment.

-Properly and effectively demonstrate SUP, Canoe and Kayak activities

-Manage Photo Program; prepare, file, edit and backup trip photo’s

-Facilitate purchases, expenses, and deposits. Arrange daily receipts, bills, and invoices

-Maintain shop’s appearance; front merchandising, organization and cleanliness

-Coordinate daily with River Manager on client-to-guide ratios, transportation, and RM

-Oversee marketing and advertising initiatives with KRC’s Community Curator.

-Lead in social media management and curate weekly media relations and reports

-Execute additional duties as required to ensure successful operation of all KRC needs

-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Minimum 1 year of management, leadership and/or post-secondary education
-Ability to guide class III-IV white-water
-Valid class 2 drivers license or out of province equivalent
-Minimum Swift Water Rescue Technician (SRT) Level 3
-Minimum of Wilderness First Responder (WFR) or equivalent
-Computer and social media competency (Microsoft suite, Adobe, FB, Instagram, etc.)

A KRC Office Manager demonstrates excellent communication and administrative skills as well as high-quality customer service. The Office Manager is approachable, professional, motivated, flexible, creative and displays cooperative and engaging attitude.

Must be available to work from mid-May to mid-Sept, including weekends and holidays.
