Job Description

Nita Lake Lodge located at 2131 Lake Placid Rd, Whistler, BC, V0N 1B2, is looking for kitchen helpers. This is a full-time, permanent position. The wage offered is $16.00/hour and staff housing is available. Benefits include extended medical after 6 months, ski pass financing, bonuses and discounts on food, beverage and the spa. The location of work is Whistler, British Columbia, and English is the primary language at this workplace.

Key job duties:

  • Wash, cut, portion and peel food items as directed and assemble, package and/or wrap food items as required to assist cooks and kitchen staff meet the demands of our three food outlets (Aura Restaurant, Cure Lounge & Patio and Fix Café);
  • Portion, peel, slice, package and wash food items to assist in the preparation of in-house and take away meals and take-out food;
  • Use equipment such as ovens, toasters, grills, dishwashers, electric and manual appliances and beverage machines.
  • Maintain stock of food and beverage items in refrigerators, food display cases and stands, and keep records of items used.
  • Serve hot and cold beverages and pre-prepared food items to guests and receive payment for items purchased.
  • Keep the kitchen area clean by wiping and sanitizing all surfaces, cupboards, appliances and floors as needed;
  • Unpack and store supplies in designated areas on delivery days and keep storage areas clean and organized;
  • Clear and clean tables and remove trash, recycling, and compost as required;
  • Remove dirty dishes from tables, and re-stock storage areas and tables with clean dishes, glasses and flatware.
  • Wash dishes, glasses, and kitchen items such as pots and pans by hand and using a dishwasher.
  • Polish glasses and silverwear.
  • Ensure highest standards of food hygiene and adhere to all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Other duties as required.


  • Secondary School education or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be willing to work shift work including days, evenings, and overnights.
  • Must be able to lift 25lbs.
