Our client, a non-profit organization and a leader in their field, is looking for a Maintenance Technician to provide onsite repair services to assigned Vancouver clients.


The Role


The Maintenance Technician role will start out as a part-time position and become a full-time role. The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of duties as specified by management. Duties may include performing carpentry, pest control, painting, general upkeep and repair and landscaping.


Who you are!


You are a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician who possesses a variety of skills encompassing most of the construction trades. You know how to operate, troubleshoot, maintain and repair boilers, HVAC equipment/systems, electrical equipment/systems, plumbing equipment/systems and refrigeration equipment/systems (specifically heat pumps and split systems) to achieve the most economical and efficient results.


Where is it based?


Vancouver, BC (easily accessible via transit)




·         Execute maintenance duties as directed by maintenance manager or employer company

·         Follow maintenance schedules as outlined

·         Inspect and verify status of employer assets

·         Make small repairs and adjustments as needed

·         Troubleshoot by consulting blueprints, schematics, and other sources as necessary

·         Respond to company's maintenance emergency needs

·         Coordinate efforts across maintenance staff to make sure all tasks are completed in a timely fashion


Must Haves:


·         Extensive handyperson skills and experience such as basic plumbing & heating, carpentry, locks replacement, painting, drywall repairs, routine electrical repairs, routine appliance repairs, caulking and grouting, tile work, suite cleaning, grounds work, roof and drain cleaning, when safe, routine maintenance on building systems if required

·         Ability to lift heavy loads

·         Possess your own basic tools

·         Reliable with excellent interpersonal skills

·         Flexible and friendly with a professional “can do” attitude

·         Experience using email

·         Ability to use company smart phone for communication
