Job Description

We are seeking individuals to join our fabulous Quartermaster cocktail bartending team who have great communication skills, strong work ethic, passion for hospitality, commitment to excellence and who understand the importance of team work. Ability to multi-task is a must.

Bartenders provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create an exceptional experience at the bar for all guests. They are the guests’ tour guides at the bar and must be welcoming, caring and knowledgeable. Bartenders must be technically proficient and expert at understanding the food & beverage menus of the business. While driving sales, Bartenders are charged with thoroughly understanding their guests, anticipating their needs. Bartenders must exemplify hospitality in all interactions with our staff, guests, vendors and the community. 

Candidate Capabilities: • 1+ years of previous bartending experience in fine-dining or casual restaurant setting • Have a professional knowledge base of classic and creative cocktails and the ability to follow recipes for syrups and all house-made ingredients. • Can interpret guest’s desires and bring them to life in liquid form • Have a base knowledge and understanding of classic cookery, while having an advanced understanding of wine, beer, and cocktails • Shows attention to detail, particularly as it pertains to maintaining cleanliness of bar and bar storage areas. • Demonstrates the ability to work as a team and support servers • Excellent Communicator – ability to understand, speak & follow written and verbal instruction in English • Menu and beverage knowledge is kept current as menus evolve • Derives pleasure from providing hospitality The Ideal Candidate will possess: • Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a graceful, warm presence. • Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position • Open availability and a career mentality • 2 years fine dining experience in a bartender position • Knowledge of wine and whisky a HUGE plus!! Additional Skills & Requirements • Ability to Lift 40+ lbs. and climb stairs • BC Serve It Right Program Certificate

Service periods will include Dinner and late night to 12am.
