PRT Growing Services Ltd. is the largest producer of container grown tree seedlings in North America.
In 2018 we celebrated our 30th anniversary and have grown 4 Billion forest seedlings for reforestation!
PRT is currently recruiting seasonal Nursery Workers to assist with our harvest of tree seedlings for reforestation across North America. This engaging, high paced, physical position offers a safe work environment and an opportunity for a career that will make a positive change in the world.
What a position with PRT offers:
o Our PRT nurseries are vibrant and fun communities with employees who share a strong passion for the “green” nature of our business and doing their part in regenerating the forests of North America
o We provide a supportive team structured environment, a strong safety culture, and a commitment to the environment
o Paid training provided at starting wage of $14.47/hour
o Fall lift supplies local forest plantations on the coast during the months of September and early October
o Fall Lift shifts are 7am to 3:30pm
o Winter lift supplies not just coastal regions but spring plantations across the continent!
o Winter lift starts mid October and runs to late December
o Winter lift offers two shifts, MORNING shifts from 6am to 230pm and EVENING shifts from 3pm to 11:30pm
o Hard work for us pays off by rising within site seniority which allows access to medical and dental benefits, multiple career paths, education, skill development and personal enrichment
Successful Applicants with PRT:
• Are energetic and pay attention to detail
• Have a positive attitude and are team players
• Work is meticulous and physical demanding; ability to stand for lengthy periods of time, walking, repetitive lifting, (light to medium weight objects), and the ability to perform repetitive movements is necessary
• Appropriate clothing required; Indoor and outdoor work, must be able to work in varying weather conditions
• Reliable transportation is essential
