The role of Regional Project Developer liaises with First Nations and health systems partners through established regional processes to develop local, sub-regional and region-wide project documentation and plans, including, undertaking analysis, work planning, drafting, and budgeting, as well as developing reports, presentations, and briefings as required, and utilizing existing tools and templates where available. Regional Project Developer also provides support to management and may be asked to undertake the oversight of project teams and budgets as appropriate from time to time.
The Regional Project Developer provides assistance in accessing, planning, and distributing all regional envelope funds. Additionally, the position provides senior advisory support, direction and oversight of the Regional budget including contracts, contribution agreements, and the regional envelope.
The Regional Project Developer acts as the primary liaison with FNHA Financial Services and Procurement, and provides strategic and operational guidance to assist the Regional Director in leveraging opportunities for partnership with third parties (including Regional Health Authorities), as well as leading the development and processes relating to enhancements to reporting, measurement, quality assurance, and the sustainability of services provided in the region.
This position works in a matrix environment, which requires strong and effective working relationships with colleagues, superiors, communities, and health service partners and organizations. The Regional Project Developer operates within a community of practice established in the Policy, Planning & Transformation Department.
- University Degree in a related field such as health policy, public policy, health systems management, political or social science, finance or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Recent and relevant experience in policy, project, or program development, including financial and resource management (usually acquired over a period of 5-7 years)
- Experience in working with First Nations and First Nations health programs and services
