KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

o   Resolving Tier 1 technical support issues (related to Windows 10, various applications such as MS Office, Quickbooks, printers, Office365, etc.); escalating where appropriate to tier 2

o   Assisting with taking phone calls and logging tickets as they come in.

o   Providing remote support and on-site support

o   Following standard operating procedures

o   Maintaining accurate documentation of client networks, resolved issues, and client information

o   Communicating tickets status and updates directly to clients

o   Providing technical support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware

o   Participating in team and company meetings to help ensure the success of the team and organization

o   Pursuing one training course per year

o   Being willing to work flexible hours when required to meet client deadlines and participating in the rotating on-call schedule.

 

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

o   Highly comfortable in interacting with others, of varying personalities, on the phone and in person

o   Adaptable and open to constant priority changes

o   Calm and collected disposition because there will be pressure and difficult situations

o   Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA A+ certifications are assets

o   Be available to take on shifts between Monday to Sunday 7 AM - 7 PM

o   Microsoft Certification (preferred, please detail your certifications)

o   Knowledge of MS Server 2003, 2008, 2011, 2012, 2016, 2019 (SBS, Exchange, etc.)

o   Experience in all versions of Windows (please list experience). Experience in OSX and Linux is an asset

o   Experience in business applications is an asset (please list experience)

o   Experience supporting virtualization (ideally HyperV and vmware) is an asset

o   Transportation (your own vehicle) as the job may require commuting within the Lower Mainland. Compensation for mileage included.
