Construction Project Engineer (NOC 2131)

Specific Skills/Job Duties
Develop construction specifications and procedures. Establish and monitor construction work schedules. Confer with clients and other members of the engineering team and conduct research to determine project requirements. Conduct field services for excavation and demolition works. Prepare contract documents, and review and evaluate tenders for construction projects. Oversee multiple sites and often driving between projects. Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods. Identify work requiring contractors and identify those contractors for the project. Work with estimating team, assisting with tenders and bids. Ensuring standard for administrative activities are observed such as timely billing of work and paying of invoices. Conferring with supervisory personnel, subcontractors, and design professionals to discuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, complaints, and construction problems. Promptly advise superintendent, operators and foreman of potential issues and work to resolve. Assist in the preparation of contracts and the negotiation of revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with construction and safety codes and other regulations.
Wage: $46 per hour, Full-time (35 hours a week)
