Aurora Scientific Corp. in Richmond BC is looking for candidates to fill a full-time Junior Technician position. The experienced and enthusiastic team player will join our expanding production team to assist in innovative solutions. Candidate should also enjoy technical challenges, appreciate interacting with people and provide exceptional customer services, and communicate effectively with supporting engineering groups. Pay is negotiable based on experience and education.

Salary:             CAD $18 hourly

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers and technicians for all production related tasks
• Be able to operate wet-blaster, sand blast machine, oven, and ultrasound cleaning equipment
• Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of the company’s products and systems
• Complete work orders and provide exceptional service for customer's satisfaction
• Inspect and pack completed goods
• Collaborate with teams of engineering and sales to understand customer requirements

Requirements:

• Working experience in machine shop or labs
• Diploma in engineering, material science, electronics or related field
• Good people and communication skills
• Self-directed. Ability to work and contribute to a positive, energetic and fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and ability to Multi-task and Problem Solving
• Computer literacy in Microsoft tools
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Fluency in English
