Administrative Manager (NOC 0114)

Driftwood Inn (5454 Trail Hotel and Restaurant Operations Ltd.)

Wage: $25-32/hr ; 40 hr/week

 

The Driftwood Inn is centrally located in Sechelt, the heart of the Sunshine Coast. We are on the waterfront only a few feet away from the beach. We offer a variety of rooms including standard doubles and king rooms plus waterfront rooms and suites. Our restaurant named Pebbles serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in west coast cuisine. We also have a meeting/function room that can seat up to 25 persons. We are close to shopping, banks and many recreational activities in the region. The Driftwood Inn is seeking a permanent full time Administrative Manager to join the team! This position will oversee and manage the company's overall administrative operations.

 

Responsibilities:

l   Plan, direct, and evaluate day-to-day administrative operations of the company

l   Oversee the acquisition and storage of company supplies and support services such as mailing, copying, printing, cleaning, security, and maintenance

l   Create and administer budgets for supplies, equipment, and contract services

l   Administrate office, building, and parking access

l   Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of contracts, invoices, and payroll transactions

l   Identify opportunities for cost saving and efficiency improvement; make recommendations on policies and process changes to senior management

l   Support new employees from other places to establish living in Sunshine Coast

l   Hire, train, or arrange training of staff

 

Qualifications:

l   Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management or a related area of interest

l   At least 5 years of administrative management experience

l   Good understanding of procedures and practices in the hospitality industry

l   Strong organizational and time management skills

l   Strong interpersonal communication skills

l   Must be computer proficient, strong knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
