Wage: $26-32/hr; 40 hr/week


The Driftwood Inn is centrally located in Sechelt, the heart of the Sunshine Coast. We are on the waterfront only a few feet away from the beach. We offer a variety of rooms including standard doubles and king rooms plus waterfront rooms and suites. Our restaurant named Pebbles serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in west coast cuisine. We also have a meeting/function room that can seat up to 25 persons. We are close to shopping, banks and many recreational activities in the region. The Driftwood Inn is seeking a permanent full time Supply Chain Specialist - Procurement to join the team! This position will be responsible for purchasing, receiving, inventory tracking, and storage of inventories.



l   Responsible for ordering all supplies and equipment for Driftwood Inn and accurate inventory control

l   Identify and confer with vendors to procure the most cost-effective goods

l   Establish vendor pool and assess the performance of vendors

l   Prepare purchase orders and contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority

l   Track the goods delivery and ensure the timely supply of equipment and supplies

l   Inspect incoming items against orders and specifications for correctness, including identifying any defects or overage/shortages on orders

l   Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships with vendors

l   Maintain close communication with department heads on required inventory pertaining to functionality and operations of the departments

l   Administer established and future policies and procedures for coordinating the requisition of inventory for departments around the hotel



l   College diploma required

l   At least 4 years of experience in a related position

l   Strong organizational and time management skills

l   Strong interpersonal communication skills

l   Must be computer proficient, strong knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
