COBS Bread franchise was established in 1980; since expanding from a multi-generational family business, we’ve grown to over 125 bakeries across Canada producing fresh, handcrafted bread and treats with high quality and carefully sourced ingredients. To expand our baker team, we are in search for competent individuals experienced in commercial baking or catering.

Main Duties: 

  • Prepare dough for different recipes including pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods
  • Prepare batters for muffins, cookies, cakes, and frostings
  • Effectively mix dough(s) to recipe book standards and deliver on time to meet customer demands
  • Bake product in ovens to recipe book standards and deliver on time to meet customer demands
  • Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods
  • Meet or exceed speed and efficiency targets as set out in Intermediate Baker Training
  • Deliver company and bakery training as required
  • Follow quality standards and Food Safety Program (FSP)
  • Assist with production management

Employment Requirements:

  • Completion of secondary school
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in commercial bakery or completion of some college or other program for bakers
  • Familiar with operating baking machinery/bread slicer and using chemical cleaning products
  • Delightful customer service skills to effectively promote marketing campaigns
  • Effective communication skills to contribute to a positive productive working environment for all bakery team members
