Job Description

Flexible part-time  3 days/week  must be available Monday - Friday 8:30-4:00 p.m.


Pharmacy Technicians are regulated by the College of Pharmacists and practice within the competancies and scope of practice and legislation as determined by the licensing body. You must be licensed to apply for this position.

Our pharmacy has been operating for over 40 years and patient-centered care is our priority. We are looking for a well trained, highly skilled, efficient technician with solid knowledge of Pharmacare and Third Pary insurance requirements.

Job requirements: The job focus is compliance packaging management. You will be responsible for all weekly billing, blister pack checks, prescription final checks, faxing doctors for refills, making changes, etc. 

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Proper patient identifciation. Maintain confidentiality. Receive and process scripts, gather information, ensure completeness. Update patient profiles and drug files. Prepare prescriptions for dispensing, preparing and affixing labels and auxiliary labels to vials. Perform final checks on prescriptions that have been clinically reviewed by a pharmacist. Prescription transfers and refill authorizations.  Prepare, process, label , and check blister packs. Ensure correct billing for all medications dispensed.  Price stock, order stock, maintain inventory, rotate and monitor stock including cycle counts and inventory. Invoicing, letters, filing. Handling cash, light cleaning duties to maintain clean dispenary
