Khorosh – WorkBC Cranbrook / WCG International – Multiple Barriers

21 July 2016
Khorosh had been unemployed for 8 months and was receiving provincial income assistance after quitting his job at a local tire shop.  He was lacking stable housing, has a criminal record and a history of addictions.  He went to the Cranbrook WorkBC Employment Services Centre in Salmon Arm looking for help to find and secure a long term job.  His case manager helped him to develop an Action Plan specific to his strengths and challenges.  He became employed fulltime for Orkin Canada (pest control) in sales and service. He moved to Cranbrook for the job and is pleased to be receiving salary, expenses and commissions as well as a company car.
