Tammy - WorkBC Quesnel/Quesnel Employment Services – Indigenous/Rural

6 June 2016
Tammy was employed as a community support worker in the lower mainland and moved to Quesnel with her spouse. She visited the Quesnel WorkBC Employment Services Centre as she was unemployed and wanted to find out about employment in the area since she didn’t know the community or resources available.

At the WorkBC Centre, Tammy had access to a computer and the knowledgeable staff for help. After her intake she was offered the Job Club. Tammy said she found this service very valuable and the Job Club helped her prepare her resume and gain the skills required to find employment.

Tammy is now successfully employed at the Quesnel Tillicum Society Native Friendship Centre as an employment coordinator.
