Katelyn - Langford WorkBC ESC - Customized Employment Plan

1 February 2016

For most of her life, Katelyn has been coping with anxiety, epilepsy, significant learning disabilities, and a degenerative back condition. In her 20s, Katelyn needed a customized employment plan to succeed.

Through her WorkBC Employment Services Centre, WorkLink, Katelyn’s job developer set up meetings with Mark’s Work Warehouse. Katelyn was successful in the interview and invited to become a merchandiser for the company.

Next, a job coach took over and supported Katelyn in developing systems to organize her work so she could work independently. She was put in charge of merchandising one section of the store. Her organizational system worked well for everyone and increased productivity for all staff.
