Young Adults
This program helps young adults, who are experiencing barriers to employment, to obtain sustainable employment.
The program provides skills training and employment supports, that are based on the needs of the participant, to help them overcome these barriers and give them the skills needed to succeed in the workplace and beyond.

Eligible Participants
The program stream is primarily* open to unemployed or precariously employed young adults aged 16 to 29 who are motivated to find work and are generally employment ready, but may lack effective job search skills, training and support.
*Additional eligibility requirements may apply, depending on the program type and/or the specific services and training offered.
Services
Programs include skills training and employment supports to obtain sustainable employment. Employment supports address barriers to participation in skills training and employment. Examples include: interview clothing and transportation supports, child care and work experience.

Essential Service Worker/Early Childhood Educator Assistant Training Program
Provides young adults with skills training for employment in the social services sector, including social and community support workers, home support workers, and early childhood education assistants.

Future Troopers
Connects immigrant young adults with supportive employer partners to address urgent skill shortages. The program focuses on employment, language and digital literacy skills to help newcomers achieve sustainable employment in careers that reflect their education and experience.

B-Hired
Provides immigrant and refugee youth with skills training, career counselling and job coaching. The program focuses job goals on in-demand occupations, building the skills and confidence required for sustainable work.

The Early Childhood Education Assistant (ECEA) Training Program
Prepares young adults for employment in early childhood education. The program includes classroom learning and practical training to develop the necessary skills and certifications required to obtain jobs as Early Childhood Education Assistants.

Fast Track to Manufacturing Plus (F2M Plus)
Offers pre-employment services and supports, occupational skills training and employment experience in the manufacturing and skilled trades sectors. Participants learn about manufacturing and skilled trades career options to pursue further education and training or start an entry level job or apprenticeship.

Building Better Futures for Youth
Provides a continuum of employment training opportunities focusing on youth, including an entry-level introduction to construction course and soft skills training. The program also provides training for young adults with experience in construction who want to advance further through specialized occupational training and certifications.

Game Changer: An Employment Project for Immigrant Youth
Assists young adults new to Canada in securing sustainable employment or education through an individualized employment plan and group-based services.

Construct Your Future Victoria
Prepares participants for a career in the construction industry. The program includes industry certifications, supervised on-the-job training, classes on construction industry terminology, basic trades math and a fitness program.
