Sector Labour Market Partnerships Program

British Columbia’s Sector Labour Market Partnerships (SLMP) program helps industries across multiple sectors navigate and respond to labour market challenges and workforce needs. Through this collaboration, SLMP supports the development of sustainable, industry-led workforce solutions.

The program

SLMP is aligned with the Province’s Look West: Jobs and Prosperity for a Stronger BC and Canada strategy and funds sector-focused projects that:

  • Identify current and emerging workforce challenges
  • Generate industry-informed labour market insights
  • Develop clear, strategic workforce plans
  • Pilot and evaluate innovative solutions

The program works with partners to address skills gaps, labour market imbalances, economic transformation and advancing Indigenous workforce priorities.

Projects include engagement and planning, research, strategy development and strategy implementation (pilot projects).

Final Reports from previous SLMP projects can be found on the SLMP Reports page.

The program is not currently accepting applications. For questions about SLMP, please contact LabourMarketPartnerships@gov.bc.ca
