2024/25 B.C. Labour Market Development Programs Public Report

The 2024/25 B.C. Labour Market Development Programs Public Report is now published and available on WorkBC.ca. This annual report highlights how employment and skills training programs supported by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction are helping people across B.C. gain the tools they need to find meaningful work.

Through the Workforce Development Agreement and the Labour Market Development Agreement, B.C. delivers a wide range of programs and services that support people in building skills, accessing training and connecting to good jobs. The report shares key results, stories from across the province and how partners work together to meet B.C.’s labour market needs.

Highlights:

  • 130,000 people across B.C. received employment services in 2024/25, helping them find jobs, pursue training and access supports that improve long term employment outcomes.
  • Over 20,000 B.C. businesses and organizations were supported, including in key sectors such as health care, construction, manufacturing and transportation, helping employers adapt to labour market shifts and find skilled workers.
  • WorkBC Employment Services supported nearly 100,000 people, with 72 per cent of clients reporting they were satisfied or very satisfied with the services received.
